Funding support for Cherry Trees

Cherry Trees, a small charity in the quiet village of East Clandon has received a much needed boost of £2,350 thanks to the Affinity Water Community Engagement Programme.

Cherry Trees is a charity that specialises in providing home from home, short breaks for children and young people up to the age of 19, living with a range of disabilities such as learning, physical and sensory impairments. With the donation, Cherry Trees home have now been able to purchase six electronic ceiling hoists.

Mrs Tania Cantoni, Head of Fundraising and Communications said:

“We are thrilled to be able to purchase the electronic ceiling hoists. In the last ten years we have managed to help over 400 families and this will help continue in making Cherry Trees an even safer and more comfortable environment for everyone.”

Adam Warner, Chair of the Community Review Panel said: “Affinity Water is a community-focused organisation serving local people and we want to be involved in projects which benefit the communities we serve. We are pleased to have the opportunity to support Cherry Trees.”
