Shepway Young Person’s at Risk has received a donation from local water supplier, Affinity Water to help the charity purchase a lap top and support service users into training and employment.

Shepway Young Person’s at Risk is a supported accommodation scheme which helps young people aged 16-26 years who have a variety of needs due to family breakdown, mental health issues or need support after leaving the care system.

With the money donated, Shepway Young Person’s at Risk will be able to purchase a laptop so they can offer a job search and CV drop in service which will enable young people to look for jobs and training courses.

Sacha Parker, Shepway Young Person’s at Risk said: “We are so grateful to Affinity Water for their generous donation and for taking the time to visit Shepway Young Person’s at Risk. Having access to a lap top to search for jobs and training will boost the independence of the young people who use our services"

Bev Taylor, Chair of the Community Review panel said: “We are pleased to have the chance to support Shepway Young Person’s at Risk. Affinity Water is a community-focused organisation serving local people and we want to be involved in projects which benefit the communities we serve.”
