Egham Cricket Club gets a funding boost

Egham Cricket Club, based in Egham, Surrey has received a funding boost of £2,380 thanks to Affinity Water’s Community Engagement Programme.

Egham Cricket Club has been open for over 100 years and is run by local volunteers, providing facilities such as football, cricket and social occasions for people living in Egham and the surrounding areas. The football club currently has over 100 boys and girls playing every week in the winter and currently both have to share changing rooms. With the money donated, new shower facilities will be installed at the club providing separate changing and washing facilities for all girls and boys using the club.

Bob Amon, Chairman of Egham Cricket Club said: “On behalf of Egham Cricket Club, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Affinity Water for funding this project, and for all of their support in the past.”

Adam Warner, Chair of the Community Review panel said: “We are pleased to have the chance to support Egham Cricket Club. Affinity Water is a community-focused organisation serving local people and we want to be involved in projects which benefit the communities we serve.”
