Draft Water Resources Management Plan, 2020-2080 – our Statement of Response

Every five years we produce a plan to ensure water is available for our customers and communities in the areas we serve.

Our Water Resources Management Plan considers both current and future customer needs from 2020 to 2080. It looks at the amount of water that is available (through existing and new water resources) and considers the effect on those resources of things like climate change, as well as changes in the way our customers use water.

We ran a public consultation on our draft plan earlier this year between March and May 2018 and have now published our Statement of Response to this. This report sets out what customers and stakeholders have told us and how we have taken their views into account.

What happens next?

We are now developing our revised draft Water Resources Management Plan (2020-2080) and we will be seeking further feedback on this during our further consultation in Spring 2019.

Before then, we are undertaking some early engagement with our stakeholders to understand their views on our revised draft plan direction. We have a number of meetings and activities scheduled for our engagement calendar.

We would welcome your views on our revised plan – if you would like to be involved, please contact us at wrmpcomms@affinitywater.co.uk
